Confidence Building, Obedience and Social Exposure Class

My Confidence Building, Obedience and Social Exposure class is a weekly 1 hour session on a Saturday morning held at Kat’s 4 Dogs Training Centre in Doonan, Sunshine Coast.

If you have completed my puppy program and your dog is now 5 months old, you can attend the confidence building, obedience and socialisation class weekly. In this class, my focus is on obedience, confidence building and off lead socialisation. If you aren’t a client of mine and would like to attend this class, please contact me to discuss.

The class starts with the challenge of a circuit (refer video). The idea of the circuit is to challenge the dogs mentally, to develop self-esteem, confidence, co-ordination, balance and awareness. It’s a great way to build a stronger bond through leadership between dog and owner and it promotes trust and security in your relationship, and it’s FUN! some feedback I get is that people get bored with standard obedience training classes, this is why I have developed this class. The only one like it on the Sunshine Coast.

At the end of each class, I allow off lead controlled and structured socialisation. This is where your dog gets to build a better understanding of social etiquette. The dogs are allowed to engage with each other but are not allowed to run around and play or chase at high levels of excitement. My focus is to educate your dog, develop and build its awareness around human space too. Creating a neutral dog is the aim.
